Great news! Delighted for him (and all of you!)
Praying that there will be no reoccurrence of whatever caused the problem. (And that bro is super vigilant so at any inkling of trouble he is able to get help quickly.)

Called my brother tonight and dark color has returned to his foot. It might be a matter of the new med having to kick in.

My brother's foot is turning blue again and the doctors are going to put my brother on Cumadin (sp). My MIL, several years back almost died because her liver began bleeding out. It was really touch and go for a month or more. It's awful because they can't operate because the blood thinner is in the system so we had to just hope and pray it would stop bleeding on it's own. The drug was originally made as a rat poison which made the rat's livers bleed out when they ate food laced with it. My MIL's doctor did not take it serious enough and had her on it for far too long. My brother's doctor is being real serious about this step. (Is your doctor taking it serious with your loved ones if they are on it?)
With all the things my brother has been through and his weakened immune system ........ one just begins to believe if it's gonna happen, it will happen to him. I feel like my whole body just took a deep breath and I'm holding it waiting for the worst ..... Truly ladies, I'd rather see him opt for elective amputation then go through what my MIL did.
I'm going to be upfront and say I am circling the wagons and taking some time off from the forum. Feeling a bit overwhelmed. Love you all!! Prayers are always appreciated.

Doing much better today. The doctor has my brother scheduled with the cumedin clinic at the hospital and they track the patients and liver levels and everything. This is not like our other experience. The doctor is being very real and very upfront about all of this.
It's so difficult to wipe away a life experience filter. I was seeing things through our prior experience filter only.
Praising God for where He has my brother. Holding up the journey. Thankful for everyone's prayers and understanding.

Glad to hear that they will be monitoring closely.
Yes - It's hard to change one's perspectives and expectations sometimes.
Made me think of some things in my own journey.
