Prayer for my DH

Senior Contributor Posts: 949 Joined: 06/03/2009	Please pray for my husband. He has allergies really bad---Both airborne and ingested. For years I've begged him to go to an allergy clinic but to no avail, so I stopped talking about it altogether. Last week, he called on his own and got an appointment for this coming Tuesday. He cannot take any medicine (other than his bp med) until his appointment and he is miserable right now. It's hard for him to breathe and he's blown his nose so much that it's raw. He needs prayer. Thanks.

Senior Contributor Posts: 949 Joined: 06/03/2009	He went to work today and worked late. I'm sure he had a lot to catch up on. I think he is a little anxious about it. He's been talking to his older daughter a lot about it, but not me. It's okay. I realize that he is doing just fine without my help. In fact, since I've stopped bugging him or asking him about anything, he seems happier. I'm hoping he learns a lot tomorrow. Maybe he'll start feeling better. Thanks for asking.

Senior Contributor Posts: 949 Joined: 06/03/2009	Inger, I'm going to post my reply to your question in my journal. Dh got a good report from the allergy doctor. It turns out that he's NOT allergic to foods at all, which I don't understand, but will address in my journal. He is allergic to 12 airborne things including dust mites, flowers, cats, dogs, grass, 5 kinds of trees, and something else. He is spending all day tomorrow getting 21 shots to start his allergy shot program. He will get two shots a week for about 6 weeks, then he will be able to give himself a shot once a week for about 8 months. I don't know after that. Thank you for the prayers for him. I know he has been miserable.

Senior Contributor Posts: 949 Joined: 06/03/2009	Thanks for the prayers for him. He did well with the shots. I think it probably wore him out as he was sleeping when I got home. It will take a few months to get into his system so he can tell a difference. Still praying this works for him. Thanks again!
